Welcome to Layer-de-la-Haye Primary School and thank you for visiting our website.  Take a look at the video below to learn more about all our school has to offer.  We are proud to be a Church of England school and are committed to ensuring we provide a caring environment for everyone who is part of our school community.  Our recent inspection, February 2023, found that "Pupils' wider well-being is very well catered for" and the pupils themselves "..feel they are part of the 'best community' that looks out for each one of them!" If you would like to visit us, please use the contact details at the bottom of this page; we would take great pride in showing you around.

Our Christian Vision

Inspired by Jesus and his parable of the 'mustard seed,' our vision is to empower each other to grow from small beginnings into a life of joy, fulfilment and service.

Matthew 13 31-33

 “Growing together in joy”

Our Christian Values

At Layer-de-la-Haye Primary School we believe that it is our role to enable all children to thrive in the community in which they live, experiencing an education which supports their personal, moral, social and spiritual development.  Our Christian values underpin all that we do in school and we take pride in living out these daily.

Our Christian values: Respect, Compassion, Forgiveness, Courage, Truthfulness, Perseverance, Community and Hope.

    Wrap around update
Dear Parents As we have now managed to employ staff to run both the breeakfast and after school wrap around clubs, we have now applied to HMRC for a childcare provider account. Which will mean that parents who use Tax-free childcare will soon be able to use this. We are awaiting paperwork in the post from HMRC and will keep you updated. Hopefully this will be up and running very soon. Also, with immediate affect, you will now be able to book for Breakfast club on the day, hopefully this will accomodate any last minute change to arrangements at home. FYI the maximum number of children that can book is 20 per session. Once the 2nd member of starts for the after school club, we will be able to extend the booking time for that too. Many thanks

FOLS AGM Tuesday 24 Sep 6pm
Dear Parents FOLS (Friends of Layer School) are holding their AGM Tuesday 24th September in the school hall at 6pm. Every parent is very much welcome, so please do come along to hear what FOLS have been up to over the last school year, the monies that we have raised with your help and then the exciting plans ahead for this year. As always, FOLS is on the lookout for any support that you may be able to offer, whether this be helping at specific events or helping with the planning and organisation. If you would like to become more involved, whether that be volunteering or part of the core team then please do come along to the AGM, have a chat and see what we do. If you can't make the meeting, then do please email folslayer@gmail.com to ask any questions. We look forward to seeing as many parents as possible. Best wishes, The FOLS team.
