At Layer de la Haye Primary School we are committed to providing an inclusive, supportive environment where every child can thrive. We recognise that pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) may require additional support to reach their full potential, and we work closely with families, staff, and external professionals to ensure this support is effective and personalised. Through high-quality teaching, targeted interventions, and a graduated approach of Assess, Plan, Do, Review, we carefully identify and respond to each child’s individual needs. Our provision supports a wide range of areas including communication and interaction, cognition and learning, social, emotional and mental health, and sensory or physical needs. We believe that inclusion means removing barriers to learning so that all children can fully participate in school life, feel valued within our community, and develop the confidence, independence, and skills they need to succeed.
